Jemima
Positive. Ambitious. Passionate. The office Ninja.
Jemima has worked her way through all the roles in Shropshire Trading and now leads the company on their mission to save product from potentially going to waste. With her sharp problem-solving skills, she’s our secret weapon. She’s like a ninja, seamlessly navigating departments, collaborating with teams to tackle challenges head-on.
Always on the hunt for new opportunities, Jemima drives growth and innovation. When she’s not leading the charge here, you’ll find her on the hockey field, or experimenting with new bread recipes in the kitchen. Her love for food is a driving force behind helping rehome residual stock.
Kay
Warm. Honest. Bubbly. Never gives up on a deal!
After 14 years in the jewellery business, Kay swapped diamonds for discounters in 2017 – and hasn’t looked back since! Her sales background, friendly personality, and love of all things food combine perfectly in her role at Shropshire Trading – whether that’s negotiating deals, or identifying and meeting with new suppliers. Kay likes nothing better than the feeling of securing a big juicy deal after all the work that goes into it.
Once the hard work is done though, you’ll often finding Kay walking her dogs in the beautiful Shropshire countryside, or exploring new lakes and beaches for paddle boarding.
Cameron
Charismatic. Reliable. Collaborative. The team player.
Cameron is the life of the party at Shropshire Trading! With his outgoing nature, love for sports, and quick wit, he’s the ultimate team player. Born and raised in Shropshire, Cameron couldn’t imagine swapping the countryside for city life. Joining our team was a perfect fit for him as he sought fulfilment and growth in a supportive environment.
Since joining, Cameron’s discovered the staggering issue of food waste and loves the unpredictability of his job – never knowing what might land on his desk next keeps things exciting!

James
Kind. Hardworking. Honest. The Local Lad.
Bringing a team ethos from experience in hospitality, James has quickly become a vital part of everything Shropshire Trading delivers. Shocked at first at how much food and drink potentially goes to waste, James now gets a real buzz from helping our suppliers find new homes for their stock, while saving the planet.
When not catching up with friends in Shrewsbury’s excellent pubs, or playing dominos, darts and chess, skateboarder James can be found getting in some gnarly flips, tricks and alley-oops!
Katie
Friendly. Meticulous. Efficient. Every office needs a Katie.
Katie makes things happen. Having worked in the haulage industry, Katie understands how to get stock moving (in fact she says she can do it with her eyes closed!). She has been working in planning and logistics since S Club 7 were topping the charts, so really does make sure that our products ‘Don’t Stop Movin’.
With no two days the same, it’s no wonder Katie drinks a lot of coffee – and she makes a mean cup of tea too!
Buffy
Approachable. Bold. Tenacious. The sports lover.
With a love of food and passion for problem solving, Buffy is getting stuck into all aspects of our operations from trading to marketing. Having finished her university degree in Natural Sciences, Buffy wanted to explore the food industry and what better way than the world of residual stock!
Calm and collected in the office, Buffy will make your head spin on the football pitch as she runs from one end to the other. Her team spirit and tenacity make her a great new addition to the Shropshire Trading team.
Ian
Resourceful. Resilient. The money man.
Taking every opportunity to explore new areas of the Shropshire Countryside with his dog, Ian puts his planning skills and map collection to good use, ensuring there is always a pub at the end of the route! This same attention to precision and detail is key to keeping everything money related at Shropshire Trading running smoothly.
Ian’s love of the natural world also shines through in his support on our environmental commitments to help us become a Carbon Neutral business.
Simon
Founder
Simon had the vision 25 years ago to tackle food waste long before it became a hot topic. Having worked in the food industry and seeing the excess products being thrown away inspired Simon to take action. Simon is a maverick and a one off, an entrepreneur to the bone and heads up a group of different businesses.
